The Long-Tailed Pangolin is considered the most trafficked animal in the world, typically trafficked in plastic bags while still alive. They’re valued for meat and their scales for holistic medicine and fashion. This 3D sculpture uses the Pangolin’s prehistoric shape, claws and especially the tongue—which can be longer than it’s body—to inform the sculpture.
There are approximately 60 Amur Leopards left due to illegal poaching for their fur. This concept explores the vanity of acquiring an Amur Leopard fur coat.
Black Rhino horns are poached for jewelry, decor and holistic medicine (typically in the form of carbonated soda).
